S’han donat a conèixer el llistat de nominacions dels MTV EMA’s 2016, que tindran lloc el 6 de novembre a Rotterdam, i on Beyoncé i Justin Bieber, encapçalen el nombre de nominacions, amb un total de 5. Adele els segueix amb 4, mentre que amb 3, trobem a noms com Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Rihanna, Tame Impala o Lukas Graham.
Entre la resta de nominats, destaquen grups com Greeen Day, Calvin Harris, The Weeknd, Radiohead, Kings of Leon o The 1975.
Una de les curiositats és que The Weeknd està nominat pel videoclip de Starboy i això que encara no s’ha estrenat.
